32 | Both explained that lunch that day was a peanut butter sandwich, cucumbers and cantaloup. Both stated there is always a vegetable and/or fruit for each meal and snacks. LPA observed the water cups and was witness to the clean up from lunch. On February 9, 2023, LPA observed breakfast being prepared, and on March 8, 2023, LPA observed children waking from naps and having snacks. Licensee and assistant both denied that children are yelled at or forced to nap. They are all required to stay quiet and rest on their sleep mats. Some children sleep and some just rest. LPA observed nap time, and one child was not sleeping. Observed Assistant going to child and reminding him quietly and calmly to stay resting and let his other friend’s sleep. Both licensee and assistant stated they have pest control. LPA did not observe any pests, or specifically flies in the home during the visit.
Between the dates of February 14 and April 6, 2023 during recent complaints, LPA interview 8 client/parents (P1-P8), 6 were successful All client/parents interviewed did not have any concern regarding yelling or any harm being caused to children while in care. No client/parents voiced any additional concerns.
Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violation occurred, and the findings are unsubstantiated.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Licensee Chelsea Meyer.
