13 | On 2/28/22 at 9:00am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mendez and LPA Helton conducted an unannounced complaint inspection, and met with licensee Vennesa Oliver. It was alleged that licensee does not have valid CPR/FA certifcation
The licensee was interviewed on 2/28/22 at 9:15am and stated that they were not aware that the CPR course was not an EMSA approved course. Licensee stated that she was not aware that she needed a hands on training course and assumed that that CPR/First Aid training online was the same as a hands on course.. LPA Mendez observed CPR/First Aid card on the wall had checked CPR/First Aid for licensee and assistant and they were are not EMSA approved. The course is only an online course that does not provide hands on training.
Based on the evidence obtained, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore the above allegation is found to be substantiated. California Code of Regulations, (Title 22), is being cited on the attached LIC 9099D. Appeal rights were provided and exit interview conducted. The Notice of Site Visit must be posted for 30 days.
