A prelicensing inspection was conducted today at 9:07am by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA),Laura Chavez. LPA met with applicant representative Coral Ramirez. The applicant is requesting a license for a capacity of 8. The facility will operate 24 hours a day, Monday-Sunday. The applicant understands that 24 hour care to one child at one time is not allowed. The residence is a 4 bedroom 2 bath single story home. There is one adult and two minors currently living in the home.

The home and yard were toured, and the facility sketch was verified. The following areas will be off limits to children: garage, Rooms 1, 2 and 4 as designated on the Facility Sketch received 9/7/2022. These areas have been made inaccessible by means of locks, doorknob covers and chain latch. During today's inspection LPA Chavez did not observe any poisons in the home. The applicant understands that any poison brought into the home shall be locked. The home is equipped with a working smoke detector and fire extinguisher rated at least 2A10BC. The fireplace is securely screened with a metal screen. The applicant understands that the fireplace shall be securely barricaded while in use when children are present. The children will use the backyard as the outdoor play area. The backyard is enclosed by a fence, however there are two pieces of missing fence boards, therefore, the applicant understands that constant supervision must be provided while children are outside and or the fence boards are replaced. There is no pool, spa, pond, fountain, or any other body of water on the premises.

A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
