32 | Between the dates of June 16 and June 23, 2023, LPA attempted to interview 4 parents (P1-P4), 3 were successful. P1, P3-P4 all stated they had no concerns or have ever witnessed licensee yelling at the children. P1, P3-P4 stated they have never witnessed or have any concern with the licensee making inappropriate comments about the children. P1, P3-P4 stated they have never witnessed or have any concern with the licensee leaving children unattended. P1 stated the home is an open floor plan and even if licensee is making food, she is basically still right there and can see the children.
On June 23, 2023, LPA interviewed assistant (A1). A1 is a preschool teacher that comes to the home everyday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM to teach the children and assist. A1 stated there is no yelling in the home and that she would not work there if there was. She stated that they sometimes they have to raise their voice to say “No or Stop” to get the children’s attention if needed. Stated that is very rare and she always warns them first. A1 stated she has never heard the licensee make inappropriate comments about the children. Regarding leaving children unattended, A1 stated recently an ill child (C1) was waiting to be picked up by her parent and was unable to play outside in water play, due to the safety of the other children. A1 stated she took the other children outside and licensee stayed with C1 until parent arrived.
During the visit, LPA did not observe any children being left unattended, nor hear any yelling or inappropriate remarks. LPA observed the dining room table where C1 was sitting while waiting for parent to arrive.
Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violation occurred, and the findings are unsubstantiated.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Licensee Natalie Gilchrist.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. reinforcement. |
