13 | On 3/21/25 at 10:05am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elizabeth Friese conducted an unannounced complaint inspection and met with licensee Maria Vasquez-Melendrez. It was alleged that a provider yelled at children in care, specifically that an assistant yelled at a daycare child very rudely in Spanish.
The licensee was interviewed on 3/6/25 at 11:15am and denied the allegation. She stated that there was an instance recently when her assistant spoke in a firm manner to a child who was spitting at others (C1), but believes it was appropriate for the situation and in no way a violation of personal rights. She does not recall exactly what was said. Five children (C1-C5) from 2-4 years old were interviewed on 3/6/25 between 11:40am and 12:05pm and 4 observed that they liked their daycare, all their "teachers" were nice, and never mean. C5 was nonverbal with LPA. All children appeared to be very comfortable in their surroundings.
