25 | A prelicensing inspection for a relocation was conducted today at 8:55am by Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Elizabeth Friese and Tammy Dutra. LPAs met with applicant Maria Vasquez-Melendrez. The licensee is requesting a license for a capacity of 14. The facility will operate Monday-Thursday, 7:30am to 5:00pm, and Friday 7:30am to 4:30pm. The residence is a 4 bedroom/2.5 bath single story home. There are 2 adults and 2 minors currently living in the home.
The home and yard were toured, and the facility sketch was verified. The following areas will be off limits to children: the outbuilding in the backyard and the yard area behind it, the garage, the master bedroom and bath, and the 2 minors' bedrooms. These areas have been made inaccessible by means of doorknob covers. Poisons are locked in a cabinet in the garage. The home is equipped with a working smoke detector and fire extinguisher rated at least 2A10BC. The wood stove is securely latched and is never to be used while children are in care. The children will use the backyard as the outdoor play area. The backyard is completely fenced. There is a pool on the property and surrounded by 5' Title 22 approved fencing with 2 self latching gates. Gate latches are 60" from the ground. |
