25 | A prelicensing inspection was conducted today at 2:48pm by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Bianca Mendez and Emily Curiel. LPA met with applicant CIndy Jimenez The applicant is requesting a license for a capacity of 8. The facility will operate Monday-Friday, 7am to 5:30pm. The residence is a 6 bedroom/ 4.5 bath two story home. There are 2 adults and 2 minors currently living in the home.
The home and yard were toured, and the facility sketch was verified. The following areas will be off limits to children: all upstairs of the home, dining area and kitchen. These areas have been made inaccessible by means of door lock. The home has a separate daycare entrance. Poisons are locked in outside shed under padlock. The home is equipped with a working smoke detector and fire extinguisher rated at least 2A10BC. The fireplace is securely screened with glass door locked. The children will use the side yard as the outdoor play area. The side yard is completely fenced. There is a in ground pool that is drained and a hot tub with a locked hard cover that is also drained.
Applicant was reminded that all adults 18 and over living in the home, persons who provide care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5-days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30-days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
