25 | On 10/10/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Behatriz Gonzalez conducted an unannounced case management inspection. LPA met with Director Loretta Jones. LPA toured the facility inside and outside and took a census.
On 09/27/2024, the facility notified Community Care Licensing Office (CCL) via telephone regarding an Unusual Incident. On 09/27/2024, Child #1 was doing a dancing activity with other children in the carpet, Staff #1 then grabbed the child by the wrist and dragged the child roughly 8ft-9ft. Parent of child #1 was notified of the incident. Children returned on Monday.
LPA inspected the area where the incident took place. LPA conducted interviews. Staff #1 was spoken to and given the proper one on one training by staff. The training consisted of the following
- Expectations regarding appropriate child and staff interaction
-TCOE ECE Standards of Conduct
-Community Care Licensing Policy's on children's Personal rights
This appears to be an isolated incident and staff took appropriate measures to address the situation following appropriate policies and regulations.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director Loretta Jones. Appeal rights were provided.
Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies are cited.
This report shall be made available to the public upon request. LIC 9213 Notice of Site Visit is provided and required to be posted for 30 days. |
