25 | On 3/29/2023, an Informal Office Meeting was conducted at the Fresno South Regional Child Care Office. In attendance at the meeting were Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Luisa Gavoutian, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA)Theresa Marquez, and Director Blair Vedenoff. Licensee Nina Clancy was not present during this meeting.
The purpose of this meeting was to discuss a recent violation of Title 22 regulations, that if not corrected, would pose an immediate risk to the health, safety, and personal rights of children in care.
The following issue/violation was discussed:
Type A Deficiency:
On 1/9/2023, a Type A Deficiency was cited:
Responsibility for Providing Care & Supervision, 101229(a)(1)
On 12/15/2022, during lunch break, 4 staff were supervising 43 children in the playground. A child exited the playground through a gate and walked onto the front facility parking lot unsupervised. Staff in the front office observed the unsupervised child and redirected the child back to the playground.
LPM Gavoutian advised Director Vedenoff to provide supervision training to all staff every 2 months for 1 year. Vedenoff is to submit to LPA Marquez a signed roster of all staff in attendance of training and to include an outline of training provided.
Supervision training is to include licensee's sister facility Greenhouse Montessori #540405030.
LPM Gavoutian recommended the facility seek assistance with Community Care Licensing Technical Support Program training which is voluntary.
It was discussed that continued violation of Title 22 regulations and failure to maintain compliance will result in a Non-Compliance Meeting and may be referred to Legal Division for possible Administrative Action. A copy of this report was given Blair Vedenoff today. |
