25 | On August 23, 2023 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kari McWilliams conducted an unannounced POC visit to clear deficiency's that were cited during the annual inspection on July 20, 2023 and a case management visit on July 27, 2023. LPA McWilliams met with Licensee Alyssa Ceballos and informed her of the reason for the visit. LPA McWilliams toured the facility inside and out and a census was taken.
LPA McWilliams observed that the facility has removed all swings from the infant room, Licensee stated that they decided to do that to ensure that swings are not used for sleeping infants. Licensee provided LPA McWilliams with the agenda for the staff training held on August 15, 2023 that went over safe sleep regulations. Licensee also provided the sign-in sheet for the training as well as statements from each staff that they understood the topics that were covered in the training.
LPA McWilliams observed that a pump sink was added within arms length to the changing table and high chairs were re-arranged so that the sink used for changing diapers was not used for cleaning and preparing bottles as well. Each task now has a specific sink.
LPA McWilliams observed that the screws were cut at the base of the fence between indoor play area and nap area and the hinge on the fence was covered to ensure that infants could no longer have access and get hurt.
LPA McWilliams observed that the outside play area was clean and there was plexy glass added to a space in the fence. Licensee shared that the facility now uses a non-toxic artificial grass cleaner to spray off the artificial grass area to ensure that area is clean. LPA observed new toys in the area. There were no hazards present during todays inspection.
