25 | On 8/30/2022, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jessika Thompson met with Licensee Silvia Gonzalez for an unannounced case management inspection. LPA toured the facility and a census was taken. An Unusual Incident was reported to the Fresno Community Care Licensing Office, on 8/4/22, regarding an accusation of inappropriate touching occurring between two day-care children. The purpose of today’s inspection was to further investigate the alleged incident. Today, LPA interviewed the Licensee and day-care children. Licensee stated that a day-care parent recently reported to her that their child alleged being touched on their private area by another day-care child, while in care. Licensee stated she has no knowledge of any children in her care exhibiting this type of behavior, nor has she witnessed such. Licensee stated she and her husband are the primary child-care providers at the home, and active supervision is provided at all times. Additionally, Children in care interviewed did not provide any information corroborating this allegation.
LPA and Licensee spoke about the importance of providing a safe, healthful environment to children care. LPA and Licensee discussed the Community Care Licensing website and LPA provided Licensee with information on how to access videos regarding the operation of a family childcare home.
Based on the information obtained, this appears to be an isolated incident. LPA determined that Licensee handled the incident accordingly and reporting requirements were met.
Per California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, no deficiency was cited.
An exit interview conducted with Licensee. A Notice of Site Visit Form must remain posted on the facility's Parent's Board for 30 days. |
