25 | On 8/15/23, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee and six day care children. Two preschool and two school age children were watching television, one was napping on a cot in the living room and a licensee was feeding an infant on his high chair. Licensee and her husband are the only persons who reside in the home. Verified licensee and Licensee’s Assistant, Erica Mariona, CPR and First Aid was completed through American Red Cross and expires on 1/14/25. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance or exemption. Fire clearance was granted on 7/31/23.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 8/7/23. Fire pull alarm is located on the home’s entry way on the front wall.
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPA also observed a play yard in the living room and a high chair in the dining room. There is a parent’s board that is located on the front wall of the home’s entry way.
- Licensee states she does not have weapons, firearms, ammunition or poisons in the home.
- Facility has 2A10BC fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide alarm, working smoke alarm and first aid kit in place.
