25 | On 8/11/23, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee, her two adult daughters and one day care child. Licensee, her two adult daughters and two minor children reside in the home. Verified licensee and Licensee’s Assistant, Lucy Bravo completed CPR and First Aid through American Red Cross and expires on 4/23/24. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on 8/4/23.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 8/9/23. Fire pull alarm is located on the home’s entry way on the right hand side wall.
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPA also a flat screen television mounted onto the and three play yards. There is a parent’s board that is located on the left hand side wall of the home’s entry way.
- Licensee states she does not have weapons, firearms or ammunition. Poisons are kept stored key locked.
- Facility has 3A40BC fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide alarm, working smoke alarm and first aid kit in place.
- Licensee is advised at least one staff member with current training in pediatric first aid and pediatric CPR is to be on site at all times children are present.
