25 | On 10/3/23, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee and seven day care children; two of them were napping and five were playing in the day care room. Licensee, her husband and three minor children reside in the home. Verified licensee and Licensee’s Assistant, Miguel Gamboa completed CPR and First Aid through American Red Cross and expires on 12/31/24. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on 9/27/23.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 9/27/23. Fire pull alarm is located in the home’s living room wall.
- During today's inspection, licensee informed LPA that she would like to use the modified detached room (day care room). Licensee states that she is in the process of obtaining building permits to use the room permanently. LPA observed that there is central air conditioner/heater, a smoke detector, a carbon monoxide alarm. There is a kitchenette with a stove, refrigerator, sink and microwave. There is a bathroom with a sink. There are two high chairs, a diaper changing table, two play yards and a flat screen television mounted onto the wall. There is a parent’s board that is located on the right hand side wall of the day care room’s entry way. Licensee understands that since she does not have city/county building permits for the room;
