32 | LPA reviewed a sample of children’s files and observed that files contained complete emergency information as required. Licensee’s Mandated Reporter Training is valid through 05/06/2027. Licensee’s pediatric CPR and First Aid certification expires on 07/18/2028. A review of staff records indicates that all employees and volunteers have immunization records on file for influenza, pertussis, and measles.
LPA discussed the Community Care Licensing website at www.ccld.ca.gov, which provides access to resources including forms, regulations, Provider Information Notices (PINs), and Quarterly Updates. LPA reviewed Reporting Requirements as outlined in Section 102416.2 of the regulations.
Licensee was reminded that all adults age 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer an existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. Failure to comply will result in the assessment of a civil penalty of a minimum of $100.00 per day, per person, for a maximum of 5 days, or for a maximum of 30 days for repeat violations.
LPA discussed safe sleep regulations with Licensee and reviewed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-andresources/safe-sleep. LPA reminded Licensee of the importance of checking recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/. LPA recommended that Licensee register all infant devices with CPSC to receive recall notifications.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information, see PIN 22-02-CCP. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. The following Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) information was provided: U.S. Department of Justice toll-free ADA Information Line at (800) 514-0301 (voice) or (800) 514-0383 (TTY), and the publication “Commonly Asked Questions about Child Care Centers and the ADA,” available at https://www.ada.gov/resources/child-care-centers/.
Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website, a consumer education resource that helps families locate child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies throughout California.
