25 | On 7/27/23, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Norma Lomeli and Erica Pacheco conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee and two day care children who were napping. Licensee, her husband, her three adult sons, her adult daughter, her adult nephew and one minor child reside in the home. Verified licensee and Licensee’s Assistant, Jewel Helo completed the CPR and First Aid training through American Heart Association and expires on 12/1/23. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on 7/21/23.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 7/25/23. Fire pull alarm is located on the home’s entry way on the front hand side wall.
- LPAs observed children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPAs also observed two high chairs and two play yards. There is a parent’s board that is located on the right hand side wall of the day care room’s entry way.
- Licensee states she does not have weapons, firearms, ammunition or poisons in the home.
- Facility has 2A10BC fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide alarm, working smoke alarm and first aid kit in place.
