25 | Prior to today's inspection, LPA telephoned call applicant and conducted the COVID-19 Emergency Response Tele-Inspection Screening Process. On June 24, 2022, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli met with Applicant, Alma Dotson for a pre-licensing/ change of location inspection. Applicant, her husband, and three minor children reside in the home. Verified applicant’s CPR and First Aid was completed through American Red Cross stickers and expires on May 3, 2021. Applicant’s Assistant Evangelina Magana completed the training through American Red Cross and expires on January 11, 2022. Background clearances are discussed and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults currently living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on June 8, 2022.
Facility was inspected inside and outside as shown on the facility sketch and the following items were discussed:
- Fire clearance was received on June 20, 2022. Applicant states that the fire inspector did not require for her to install a fire pull alarm.
- This is a two story, four bedrooms and three bathrooms home including a Mother in Law Suite. Upstairs area will be off-limits to the day-care children. Care and supervision will be provided in the Mother in Law Suite (day care room); which includes a bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette area. Off limit rooms/closets are made inaccessible by the use of a plastic door knob cover.
- There is no fireplace in the home.
- LPA observed in the day care area; children size furniture, safe toys, and books for the children. There are three high chairs, two play yards and a diaper changing station. Children will nap in the bedroom on cots. Infants will nap in play yards. Applicant understands she is to supervise children at all times.
