25 | On July 8, 2022, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Diane Mercado met with Applicant, Erika De Haro for a pre-licensing inspection. Applicant, spouse, and four minor children reside in the home. Background clearances are discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults currently living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance and exemption.
Facility was inspected inside and outside as shown on the facility sketch and the following items were discussed:
- Fire clearance was received on June 30, 2022. Fire clearance was granted on June 21, 2022. Fire alarm is located on the right-hand side wall of the home’s entry way.
- This is a two-story home and upstairs area will be off-limits to the day-care children. There is a gate at the bottom of the stairs making upstairs area inaccessible. Care and supervision will be provided in the dining room, bedroom, and hallway bathroom.
- There is an electrical fireplace in the upstairs master bedroom that is not connected, and applicant states will not be used during day-care hours.
- There are games, toys, and books for the children. Children will nap in downstairs bedroom. Applicant understands she is to supervise children at all times. LPA provided applicant with Individual Sleeping Plan and Safe Sleep handout.
- Applicant’s Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification was completed through American Red Cross and expires on 12/2023.
- Preventative Health and Safety with Prevention of Lead exposure certification was completed on April 15, 2022.
