25 | On 6/12/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee and six day care children who were napping. Licensee, her husband and two minor children reside in the home. Verified licensee’s CPR and First Aid was completed through Pediatric Plus with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on 5/22/26. Licensee’s Assistant, Hilaria Meza Reina completed the training through Pediatric Plus with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on 10/28/25. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on 6/7/24.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 6/7/24. Fire pull alarm is located in the day care room’s wall. Licensee states that the new day care entrance will be through the right side run of the home that leads to the day care room entrance.
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPA also observed one high chair, a play yard and a flat screen television mounted onto the living room wall. There is a parent’s board that is located on the right hand side wall of the home’s entry way.
- Licensee states she does not have weapons, firearms or ammunition in the home. Poisons are kept key locked
