25 | On 9/21/23, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Norma Lomeli and Claribel Soto met with Applicant, Susan Ramirez for a pre-licensing inspection. Applicant, her husband, her adult son, her adult daughter and one minor child reside in the home. Background clearances are discussed and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults currently living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance or exemption.
Facility was inspected inside and outside as shown on the facility sketch and the following items were discussed:
- This is a single story, four bedrooms and two bathrooms home and children will have access to the living room #1, living room #2, kitchen, dining room and hallway bathroom. Off-limits rooms/ closets are made inaccessible by use of plastic door knob covers and door knob lock.
- There is a double sided fireplace that faces living room #1 and living room #2, applicant states it will not be used during day-care hours. There is central air heating/cooling ventilation for safety and comfort.
- LPA observed a parents board on the right hand side of the home's entry way. There is a flat screen television on top of a large cabinet in living room #2. Children will nap in living room #1 (day-care room) on cots. Infants will nap in cribs. Applicant understands she is to supervise children at all times. LPA provided applicant with Individual Sleeping Plan and Safe Sleep handout.
- Facility has 2A10BC fire extinguisher, smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm and first aid kit in place.
- Applicant’s Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification was completed through Pediatric Plus with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on 8/20/24.
