25 | On 6/13/23, an unannounced Case Management Inspection was conducted by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jessika Thompson. LPA met with Licensee Yesica Sanchez and toured the facility. Facility is operating Monday through Saturday, from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with fourteen children currently enrolled. The purpose of today's inspection was to conduct a post licensing follow-up on the pre-licensing inspection that took place on 3/30/23. LPA confirmed that accessible areas of the home are living room #1, living room 2 (day care room), kitchen, and hallway bathroom. Off-limits rooms are made inaccessible by use of child proof safety gate and key locks. There are no bodies of water, weapons, or firearms on the premises. Children's files contained required emergency medical information. Required forms are posted. Licensee was advised that cribs and play yards must be kept free from all loose articles and objects while infants are sleeping. Licensee is aware that there shall be no objects hanging above or attached to the crib or play yard. Infants are not swaddled while in care. LPA advised licensee that she is required to check on sleeping infants every fifteen minutes and document any signs of distress which includes but is not limited to flushed skin color, increase in body temperature, restlessness and labored breathing. LPA also advised licensee that an Individual Infant Sleeping Plan must be completed and in file for each infant up to 12 months of age. Additionally, Licensee was advised that infant bouncers, rockers, portable nappers, walkers, and exersaucers are prohibited from usage in child care facilities.
Provider Information Notices were discussed, and licensee is aware that forms and updated information may be obtained on the Department's website (www.ccld.ca.gov). Reporting requirements were discussed and Licensee understands that unusual incidents must be reported the Fresno Community Care Licensing office during the Department's normal business hours, before the close of the next working day following the occurrence.
Per California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, no deficiencies were cited today. An exit interview was conducted with Licensee and appeal rights were provided.
