25 | On 7/5/23, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli met with Applicant, Megan Bimat for a pre-licensing inspection. Applicant, her husband, and three minor children reside in the home. Background clearances are discussed and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults currently living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on 6/27/23.
Facility was inspected inside and outside as shown on the facility sketch and the following items were discussed:
- Fire clearance was received on 6/28/23. Licensee states that fire inspector did not require for her to install a fire pull alarm.
- This is a single story, four bedrooms and two bathrooms home with a converted garage room (play room), and children will have access to the living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom #1 (day care room), bedroom #2, bedroom #3 and converted garage (play room). Off-limits rooms are made inaccessible by use of plastic door knob covers.
- There is an electrical fireplace in the living room that applicant states it will not be used during day-care hours. There is heating/cooling ventilation for safety and comfort.
- LPA observed in the play room; children size furniture, safe toys, books and arts and crafts supplies for the children. There is a refrigerator, a microwave and a flat screen television mounted onto the wall. Children will nap in bedroom #1 on mats. Infants will nap in play yards. Applicant understands she is to supervise children at all times. LPA provided applicant with Individual Sleeping Plan and Safe Sleep handout.
