25 | On 12/19/23, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli met with Applicant, Magdalena Magana for a pre-licensing inspection. Applicant, her husband, her mother and father reside in the home. Background clearances are discussed and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults currently living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance.
Facility was inspected inside and outside as shown on the facility sketch and the following items were discussed:
- This is a single story, three bedrooms and two bathrooms home and children will have access to the master bedroom (day-care room), and master bathroom. The day care room's entrance will be through the right side run of the home that leads to the back yard, to the glass sliding door. Off-limits rooms/ closets are made inaccessible by use of plastic door knob covers and child proof safety gate.
- There is a swamp cooler for ventilation for safety and comfort. There is a wall heater in the day care room that is barricaded with a wall heater protector cover. There a dual wall heater that is in the inaccessible living room.
- LPA observed books for the children. There is a parents board in the outside wall of the day care room's entrance. Children will nap in the day care room on cots. Infants will nap in play yards or a crib. Applicant understands she is to supervise children at all times. LPA provided applicant with Individual Sleeping Plan and Safe Sleep handout.
- Facility has 2A10BC fire extinguisher, smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm and first aid kit in place.
