25 | On 7/25/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli met with Applicant, Maria Gonzales for a pre-licensing inspection. Applicant and her Mother reside in the home. Background clearances are discussed and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults currently living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearances. Fire clearance was granted on 6/27/24.
Facility was inspected inside and outside as shown on the facility sketch and the following items were discussed:
- Fire clearance was received on 6/28/24. Fire pull alarm is located on the home’s day care room's wall.
- This is a single story, three bedrooms and two bathrooms home and children will have access to the living room, family room, game room (day care room), dining room, kitchen and hallway bathroom. Off-limits rooms/ closets are made inaccessible by use of child proof safety door knob covers and lever child proof safety locks.
- There is a fireplace in the family room that applicant states it will not be used during day-care hours. There is central air heating/cooling ventilation for safety and comfort. There is a Frigidaire air conditioner and heater wall unit in the day care room.
- LPA observed in the day care room; child size furniture, safe toys, and books for the children. There are two high chairs, a parents board and a flat screen television mounted onto the day care room. Children will nap in the day care room, family room, and bedroom #1. Applicant understands she is to supervise children at all times. LPA provided applicant with Individual Sleeping Plan and Safe Sleep handout.
