25 | On 10/1//24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli met with Applicants, Irene Fuentes and Francisco Gomez for a pre-licensing inspection. Applicants and her three minor children reside in the home. Background clearances are discussed and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults currently living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance.
Facility was inspected inside and outside as shown on the facility sketch and the following items were discussed:
- This is a single story, two bedrooms and one bathroom home and children will have access to the living room (day care room) and bathroom. Off-limits rooms/ closets are made inaccessible by use of plastic door knob covers and a child proof safety gate.
- There is central air heating/cooling ventilation for safety and comfort. There is a wall air conditioner unit in the living room. There is a wall heater that applicants state it will not be used.
- LPA observed in the day care room; children size furniture, safe toys, educational posters, and books for the children. There is a parents board, a portable diaper changing table, and a high chair. There is a flat screen television mounted onto the living room wall. Children will nap in the day care room on cots. Infants will nap in a crib or play yard. Applicants understand that they are to supervise children at all times. LPA provided applicants with Individual Sleeping Plan and Safe Sleep handout.
- Facility has a 2A10BC fire extinguisher mounted onto the kitchen wall. There is a smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm and first aid kit in place.
