25 | On 9/5/24, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Norma Lomeli and Nohemi Sanchez met with Spanish-speaking Applicant, Alma Nunez for a pre-licensing/ change of location inspection. Applicant, her husband, her adult son, her daughter in law and four minor children reside in the home. Background clearances are discussed and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults currently living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance or exemption. Fire clearance was granted on 8/17/24.
Facility was inspected inside and outside as shown on the facility sketch and the following items were discussed:
- Fire clearance was received on 8/23/24. Fire pull alarm is located on the day care room wall on the right hand side wall.
- This is a two story, five bedrooms and three and half bathrooms home and upstairs area will be off-limits to the day-care children. There is a gate at the bottom of the stairs making upstairs area inaccessible. Care and supervision will be provided in living room, family room (day care room), dining room, kitchen and downstairs half bathroom. Off-limits rooms/ closets are made inaccessible by use of lever handle locks and a child proof safety gate.
- There is a fireplace in the family room that applicant states it will not be used during day-care hours. There is central air heating/cooling ventilation for safety and comfort.
- LPAs observed in the day care room, child size table and chairs, safe toys, and books for the children. There is a high chair and a flat screen television mounted above the fireplace mantle. LPAs observed in the living room a flat screen television mounted onto the living room wall. Children will nap in day care room on cots and mats.
