On July 10, 2024 at 9:15 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Aaliyah Zendejas conducted an unannounced annual / required inspection. LPA met with Director Peggy Schreiber and announced the purpose of the inspection. Director provided LPA with a tour of the interior and exterior of the facility. At the time of the inspection, there were 42 children under the care and supervision of 10 staff members.

LPA observed required licensing documents mounted on the walls when entering facility. Last disaster drill was conducted on January 10, 2024. LPA advised Director to conduct another drill this month. The classroom had age-appropriate toys and furniture readily accessible for children in care. LPA observed enough restrooms available for children to use. LPA did not observe any hazards/toxins items accessible to children. A First Aid kit was observed behind the front desk area as well as in every classroom, in the kitchen, and outside. Facility provides a snack for the children in care, and LPA observed food properly stored at the kitchen. Children bring in reusable bottles for drinking and center provides bottled water for additional drinking water. The outdoor playground has shaded areas for children in care and has an ample amount of space for children to play. LPA observed the playground has age-appropriate toys and structures available for children to use.

A sampling of children and staff records were reviewed. LPA reviewed 5 children's files and observed children's files to be complete and current. Currently the facility does not have children that require Incidental Medical services (IMS). LPA observed staff files to be complete and current. All Staff present have current CPR with an expiration date of August 2024. Licensee stated that they already have an appointment to become recertified. All Staff present have current AB 1207 mandated reporter training certificates on file. LPA verified SB792 Child Care Adult Immunization and Tuberculosis requirements for all staff.
