25 | On July 31, 2026, at 09:30AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Cynthia Alvarez conducted an unannounced Required – Annual inspection at the Family Child Care Home (FCCH). LPA met with licensee Kimberly Beaty and advised them of the purpose of the inspection. Licensee provided LPA a tour of the home, inside and outside. There were 11 children in care and 1 assistant at the time of the inspection. The FCCH operates Monday – Friday from 7:00AM – 5:00PM.
The FCCH is a single-story home that consists of 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom home. Areas accessible to children in care include the living room, kitchen, dining room, 1 bathroom and outdoor backyard. Inaccessible areas include the 4 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, listed in the facility sketch as area off limits for childcare, LPA observed area to be properly secured. In the kitchen, sharp and personal medications are stored in a cabinet that are higher than 5 feet of height, and cleaning agents are stored garage that was observed to be locked. During the inspection age-appropriate toys and furniture were observed accessible to children. During the inspection LPA did not observe any hazards, toxins, or bodies of water accessible to children in care. Licensee verified that there are no ammunition or weapons in the home.
LPA and licensee toured the enclosed backyard. LPA observed there is shading to afford the children's comfort. The play area has age-appropriate toys and day-care equipment, that were varied and in good condition . LPA and licensee discussed active supervision when children are in the backyard.
LPA observed the required licensing documents posted in a prominent location within the home. LPA asked to review the disaster/fire drill log, the last drill was conducted on March 3, 2026. The fire extinguisher (2A10BC) located in the kitchen was last serviced on December 1, 2025. LPA reminded licensee that the fire extinguisher needs to be serviced or purchased yearly.
