25 | On September 02, 2022 at 9:40 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Rona Chavez conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection. LPA met with facility Site Supervisor Pam Scheier and advised her the purpose of the inspection. Supervisor provided LPA a tour of the facility inside and out. There were 17 children in care with three (3) staff and one (1) parent volunteer providing supervision.
LPAs observed required licensing documents mounted on the wall at the entrance of the facility. LPA observed a facility menu posted on the wall. LPA observed working carbon monoxide detector in the classroom. The last fire drill was logged on 4/8/22. The center provides breakfast for the morning class and lunch for the afternoon class. Food is provided by the school cafeteria. The facility has designated restroom for the preschool children only with enough restrooms available for the children in care. LPA did not observe any hazards/toxins items accessible to children. The classroom has age-appropriate toys and furniture readily accessible for children in care. The outdoor playground has an ample amount of space for children to play. LPA observed the playground has age appropriate toys and structures available for children to use. The facility has water available for children inside and out.
Center uses handwritten sign-in and sign-out logs. A sampling of children and staff records were reviewed. Currently the facility does not have children that require Incident Medical services (IMS). Teachers have required qualifications. Teachers present have current Pediatric First Aid/CPR certificates that expire on 12/09/2022. Teachers present have current AB 1207 Mandated Reporter Training certificates that expire on 10/6/2023. LPAs verified SB 792 Child Care Adult Immunization and Tuberculosis Requirements. The facility is following current Covid-19 guidelines.
No deficiencies were cited during today's inspection. |
