On July 29, 2021 at 1:46 pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Francisco Pedroza conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection. LPA met with facility Director Jennifer Brewer and advised her the purpose of the inspection. Prior to conducting the tour of the facility, LPA conducted Covid-19 screening questions. Director provided LPA a tour of the facility inside and out. There were 46 children in care at the time of the inspection.

LPA observed required licensing documents mounted on the wall in the front lobby. LPA observed the center menu. The center provides, breakfast, lunch, and two (2) snacks daily for children. The center has five (5) classrooms available for use. Currently they are only using three classrooms. Each classroom had toilets and sinks readily accessible for children in care. LPA did not observe any hazards/toxins items accessible to children in care. Each of the classrooms have age appropriate toys and furniture readily accessible for children in care. Facility provides children that are staying full day a sleeping cot during quiet time if they choose to sleep. LPA observed the secured medications. The outdoor playground has an ample amount of space for children to play. LPA observed the playground has age appropriate toys and structures available for children to use. The playground has ample amount of shade available. The facility has water available for children inside and out. Children use their own water bottles if they have them labeled with their name.

Center uses the electronic application Kinder Care. A sampling of children and staff records were reviewed. Teachers have required qualifications. Teachers present have current Pediatric First Aid/CPR certificates that expire on 10/02/2022. Teachers present have current AB 1207 Mandated Reporter Training certificates that expire on 2/12/2023. LPA verified SB 792 Child Care Adult Immunization and Tuberculosis Requirements. Facility is follow current Covid-19 guidelines.

This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records.
