On August 22, 2024 Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Aaliyah Zendejas and Shane Loftus conducted an unannounced visit to deliver the findings of the above mentioned allegations. LPA met with licensee sister Carol Papet and advised her of the purpose of the inspection. Together with the licensee, LPAs toured the interior and exterior of the facility. At the time of the inspection, there were 12 children under the care and supervision of four staff members.
CCLD received a complaint regarding the above mentioned allegation. After conducting staff and parent interviews, interviews highlighted that there is no record of inappropriate interactions occuring between children. LPA also did not observe any record of inappropriate interactions between children during visits on May 20, 2024 and August 22, 2024.
Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation(s) did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated.

CCLD received a complaint with two allegations stating, facility failed to report unusual incident to CCL, and that facility failed to prevent C1 from hitting other children. Upon arrival to the facility on May 20, 2024 LPA Zendejas noticed C1 fighting with another child. Staff quickly disconnected the two but LPA heard one of the children being referred by C1's name. Upon interview with staff and record review, there is documentation that C1 does indeed hit other children. LPA reviewed facility file and interviewed staff and neither file review or interview indicated that certain incidents were being reported to CCL. LPA advised staff during visit on May 20, 2024 and again on August 22, 2024 about reporting requirements and provided licensee with regulations regarding reporting requirements. CON'D ON 9099-C
