On June 28, 2024 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Susana Martinez conducted an unannounced inspection to deliver the findings of the above mentioned allegations. LPA met with Licensee, Rebecca Lemos and advised her of the purpose for the inspection. LPA was provided with a tour of the home inside and outside. At the time of inspection there were 8 children and 3 adults.

The Department received allegations stating Licensee is not meeting day care child’s diapering needs, Licensee did not prevent day care child from engaging inappropriate behaviors, and Licensee restrained day care child for an extended period of time. LPA Martinez conducted file reviews and interviews with Licensee and parents of current and past children enrolled.

Licensee denies the allegations and also states that many children have a hard time at pick-up as they do not want to go home. Parents interviewed were all pleased with the providers level of care and supervision that their children receive. No parent complained about Licensee not being able to meet a child’s diapering needs. Parents also denied ever witnessing children being restrained.

No deficiencies were cited during today's inspection.

A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days.

Exit interview conducted, appeal rights given and report was reviewed with the licensee Rebecca Lemos.
