25 | On August 14, 2026, at 11:50AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Cynthia Alvarez conducted an unannounced Required – Annual inspection at the Family Child Care Home (FCCH). LPA met with licensee Leticia Orozco and advised them of the purpose of the inspection. Licensee provided LPA a tour of the home, inside and outside. There were 5 children in care at the time of the inspection. The FCCH operates Monday – Friday from 5:00AM – 5:00PM.
The FCCH is a two-story home that consists of 5-bedroom, 3-bathroom home. Areas accessible to children in care include the living room, dining room, 1 bathroom, located on the second floor and outdoor backyard. Inaccessible areas include the bedrooms in the second floor, listed in the facility sketch as area off limits for childcare, LPA observed area to be properly secured with a gate at the bottom of the stairs. Licensee stated they walk the children to the second floor to utilize the restroom, LPA observed the restroom to be clean, sanitary, and free of toxins. During the inspection age-appropriate toys and furniture were observed accessible to children. During the inspection LPA did not observe any hazards, toxins, or bodies of water accessible to children in care. Licensee verified that there are no ammunition or weapons in the home.
LPA and licensee toured the enclosed yard. LPA observed there is shading to afford the children's comfort. The play area has age-appropriate toys and day-care equipment, that were varied and in good condition . LPA and licensee discussed active supervision when children are in the yard.
LPA observed the required licensing documents posted in a prominent location within the home. LPA asked to review the disaster/fire drill log, the last drill was conducted on August 14, 26. The fire extinguisher (2A10BC) located in the kitchen was last serviced on March 18, 2026. LPA reminded licensee that the fire extinguisher needs to be serviced or purchased yearly.
