April 26, 2023 at 9:11 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Laura Villanueva conducted an announced Case Management-Licensee Initiated inspection. LPA spoke to Licensee, Mayra Pina Robles and conducted a COVID-19 risk assessment. All answers indicated no exposure to COVID-19. LPA discussed the nature and purpose of the inspection. Licensee and LPA toured the facility inside and outside. Licensee was caring for 3 children at the time of the inspection.

The mobile home is 3 bedroom and 2 bath. The licensee uses the living room, kitchen, hall bathroom, and patio for the child care. The three bedrooms and one bathroom will not be utilized and will be designated off limits for childcare. There are age appropriate toys, teaching materials, and furnishings in good condition and free of hazards. LPA did not observe any toxins/hazardous items accessible to children. The patio is fully enclosed with a fenced. Cleaning agents, disinfectants are stored in top kitchen cabinet. Kitchen knives are stored out of reach. The bathroom to be used for children in care was observed to be clean and sanitary.

Licensee's Pediatric First Aid/CPR certificate is valid until 8/2/2023. Licensee's Mandated Reported Training is valid until 8/20/23. A regulation 2A10BC fire extinguisher was observed with a service date of 10/3/2022. Licensee is reminded to service or purchase the fire extinguisher yearly. Fire clearance was granted 4/7/23. LPA observed smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. All adults in the home are fingerprint cleared. LPA observed the home to be orderly. No bodies of water were observed on site. Licensee stated that there are no guns or ammunition in the home.

Child files were found to be complete with all state required forms. Infant files included LIC 9227 (Infant Sleeping Plan). Licensee was made aware of the responsibility to know the regulations for Family Child Care Home which can be accessed on-line at www.ccld.ca.gov.

Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Family Child Care Homes Section 102417. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

A large child care license is granted effective today 4/26/23. LPA provided Licensee with capacity regulations chart.
