The interviews revealed that most parents believe the infant staff provide a good level of care. All parents interviewed stated that they have not observed staff speaking to a daycare child/infant in an inappropriate manner.
LPA also conducted a review of all unusual incident reports that occurred in the last 12 months. LPA did not discover any UIRs pertaining to staff speaking to children/infants inappropriately.
LPA interviewed staff, which revealed that staff have knowledge of the importance of being respectful towards infants. All staff members stated they receive guidance from the director and area director when a question arises regarding staff or infant behavior.
LPA also reviewed the staff handbook. On page 69 of the staff handbook, it clearly states that the Center has established a policy for prohibited behaviors, including actual or threatened violence against other associates, participants, visitors, or any other persons who are either on the center premises or have contact with associates in the course of their duties.
LPA interviewed the director who stated , she has not observed staff speaking to a child/infant in an inappropriate manner. Director also stated that if an allegation of staff misbehavior were to arise, Director would conduct their own investigation.
Although the above allegation may have happened or may be valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur. Therefore, the allegation is unsubstantiated.
An exit interview was conducted, and the report was reviewed with Director Misbah Saad .
A Notice of Site Visit was issued.
