25 | On October 26, 2023 at 1:15 PM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Laura Villanueva made an unannounced inspection to conduct a Case Management-Deficiencies visit. LPA met with Assistant, Maria Sanchez and explained the purpose of the visit. Licensee is in Mexico on an emergency. Licensee left 10/20/2023 and returns 10/27/2023. LPA conducted a tour of the facility inside and outside with assistant. LPA observed a total of 4 children under the care and supervision of assistant.
During the tour of the home, LPA observed 1 bouncer in the living room and 1 bouncer in the family room. LPA advised assistant that bouncers are prohibited in licensed child care homes. Assistant stated that the mother of one of the children brought it. The bouncer in the living room is assistant's granddaughter's. A type B deficiency is being cited for Health and Safety code section 102417 (10).
LPA has amended the LIC9099 complaint report dated August 9, 2023 to include an immediate civil penalty for $500.00 for Health and Safety code Section 102417 (a) for an absence of supervision. C1 went out the front door without licensee being aware. Ring camera footage shows the child was outside alone from 5:18:37 to 5:21:45. A neighbor rang the door bell to inform licensee the child was outside unattended.
Licensee stated to LPA on 8/9/2023 that an alarm would be placed on the front door alerting when the door was opened. LPA observed that alarm has not been placed on the door.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with applicant, Maria Sanchez and a copy was provided. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days
A Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) along with Appeal Rights (LIC 9058) are provided to assistant at the conclusion. |
