On December 2, 2022 at 1:00 PM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Laura Villanueva conducted an unnanounced inspection to conclude the investigation for the above allegation. LPA met with Licensee, Yuliana Perez and explained the purpose for the inspection. Prior to entering the facility, LPA asked pre-screening questions related to COVID-19. Responses suggest no COVID exposure on site. LPA conducted a tour of the home inside and outside. LPA observed 11 children present at the time of the inspection with 2 staff.

LPA interviewed parents during the course of the inspection, most felt the care and supervision was either good or great and did not have any concerns. The concerns were that there are too many children being cared for at once and the changing of assistants. LPA informed parents that the over capacity was addressed on the 9/21/22. LPA spoke to licensee regarding the process and requirements of adding assistants to help with child care. Licensee stated that she understood.

LPA reviewed Oxnard Police Department report that reported injuries to C1, but no further action was taken. The Police will not be pursuing the case. Medical records for the injuries to the child show that the child sustained bruises with no definite cause. LPA reviewed child protective services report which stated that no further action will be taken. LPA's investigation concluded that the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED.

No deficiencies cited during this visit. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
