25 | On July 16, 2021 at 9:54 AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Francisco Pedroza and Austin Rios conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection. Prior to entering the facility, LPA's contacted the facility and conducted the Covid-19 screening questions. LPAs met with facility Director Cheryl Curtis and explained the purpose of the inspection. Director provided LPAs a tour of the facility inside and out. The facility currently had nine (9) infants in care at the time of the inspection. The center operates from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday thru Friday. This is a combined center with an preschool program.
Licensing required notices were posted prominently on the wall at the entrance of the facility. There was one (1) staff supervising four (4) infants in one classroom and one (1) staff supervising five (5) toddlers in another classroom. LPA's observed each classroom had age appropriate toys and furnishings. Both classrooms had a changing table with a sink readily accessible. LPAs observed enough cribs for the infants in care. Facility had the required current sleep logs for each child. Food and milk is stored within the refrigerator located in the classroom. LPA reviewed a sampling of Individual needs & services plans and feeding plans. Children bottles and food were properly labeled with child's name and date. Faciltiy uses a red band to identify breast milk from formula. LPA did not observe any toxins/hazardous items accessible to children.
