32 | Regarding the allegation Adult in the home handled day care child in a rough manner. LPA reviewed children’s records. LPA did not observe any documentation in the children’s file predating to adult mishandling children. LPA also interviewed multiple parents of children who were formerly and currently enrolled at the family child care home(FCCH). The parent interviews revealed, how parents have not observed any adult at the FCCH, handling children in a rough manner. Every parent interviewed stated they feel satisfied with the care and supervision the Licensee provides to their children. Additionally, every parent interviewed stated, they would recommend the FCCH.
As mentioned, LPA interviewed Licensee and assistant’s. From these interviews LPA discovered, the licensee and assistants have not observed any adult mishandling children. Also Licensee and assistants stated the FCCH does utilize surveillance cameras but the cameras do not record. Also Licensee and Adult Assistant#1 stated, when a child in care, refuses to eat, they never forces a child to eat. Furthermore, Both Licensee and Assistant#1 stated, when a child acts out or misbehaves, they always communicate to the child how their behavior is unacceptable.
As mentioned, the LPA conducted two unannounced inspections. During the inspections, LPA did not observe the licensee providing inadequate care or supervision to the children.
Although the above allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is Unsubstantiated.
