25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Michael Avila conducted a tele-visit and made an announced inspection to conduct a PRE-LICENSING of the facility infant center. LPA advised Licensee that due to COVID-19 and Department of Public Health (DPH) guidelines of social distancing, a tele-inspection was conducted. The preschool center is currently not operating. LPA met with facility Director Lucero Villegas via FaceTime. LPA and Directors conducted a virtual tour together. The center operates from 7AM to 5:30PM Monday through Friday.
The center is located on the property of a private local community church. Two classrooms will be utilized for the preschool. (Measurements for both rooms are documented on a separated LIC 812 detailed supportive). LPA observed age appropriate toys, games, tables, chairs, and equipment available for children. Facility will utilize individual mats for napping purposes. LPA did not observe any toxins/hazardous items that would be accessible to children. Water will be accessible via pitcher and disposable cups in the classroom. Lunch will prepared parents of children in care and snack will be made available by the facility. Parents will sign-in children at the entrance of the facility.
LPA observed two separate restrooms with a total of five toilets and 1 urinal along with 6 sinks.
The facility has an outdoor recreation yard for the children in care. The recreation yard is completely fenced. LPA observed an appropriate a play structure and swings on top of a wood-chip surface area. Shade will is available via a detached awning and overhead awning attached to the building. Water is accessible via water fountain. Pitchers of water will also be made available to children for their own individual water cups.
