On October 20, 2021 at 2:05 PM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Francisco Pedroza and Dean Thompson conducted an announced PRE-LICENSING inspection. LPAs met with Center Manager Jennifer Escamilla and Director Robin Otoole. Manager provided LPAs a tour of the facility inside and out. There were no children in care at the time of the inspection. The center will operate Monday thru Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

The center is located on Justin Elementary School. The center will be using classrooms 11 and 12 for children in care. A fire clearance inspection was conducted by the Ventura County Fire Department on 9/8/2021. Facility submitted an application 48 children. Parents will be using the North gate entrance and parking lot for drop off and pickup. The facility will be providing children two snacks and lunch daily. The lunch is being provided the school district. During quiet time hours children will be provided cots. Children that do not sleep are provided a quiet activity to keep them engaged during that time. The children will be sharing two restrooms with other children attending the elementary school. LPAs advised to check the restroom is clear when taking children to the restroom to ensure no commingling. Facility will have age appropriate toys and furniture readily accessible for children in care. The facility will be sharing two (2) outdoor areas with the school children. One of the outdoor yards has an age appropriate structure for the children to use. LPAs observed both yards have an ample amount of shade. Children will have access to water inside and out. The Incident Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. LPA spoke with Manager regarding the current Covid-19 guidelines and Lead Exposure requirements.

This facility plans to provide Incidental Medical Services - IMS.
