25 | On June 15th, 2023, at 2:13PM Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Rosie Breault and Giovani Gonzalez conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection. LPA met with licensees Naira and Danny Wood and advised the purpose of the inspection. Licensees provided LPAs a tour of the home inside and out. At the time of the inspection there two (2) children and both licensees. In addition, licensees applied for a Large Family Child Care Home (FCCH) and will be reflected in this inspection report.
LPA observed all required documents posted in a prominent location. Children have access to living room, dining room, one (1) bathroom, nap, changing area, and outdoor play yard. Bathroom remains closed with a lock when not in use. LPAs observed all toxins, poisons, sharps, tools, and combustibles elevated and inaccessible to children’s reach. Kitchen has been rendered inaccessible by (2) two gates.
LPAs observed a 2A10BC fire extinguisher with purchased date of 04/27/2023 mounted on the wall in the kitchen readily accessible. Licensee advised to ensure the fire extinguisher is serviced or a new one in purchased every year. The last emergency drill was conducted on 05/24/2023. Carbon monoxide detector was tested at 2:28PM and functioning at the time of the inspection. Smoke detector was tested at 2:30PM and was functioning at the time of the inspection. LPAs observed age-appropriate toys and furniture readily accessible to children in care. The play yard is enclosed with a fence and no bodies of water are present. Licensee stated no firearms or ammunition are present on the property. Licensee stated no incidental medical services are being provided at this time.
