25 | This is a change of location. Old facility number 566216371.
On July 19, 2023 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Susana Martinez conducted an announced pre-licensing change of location inspection. LPA met with licensee Amanda Garcia and advised her of the purpose for the inspection. Licensee provided LPA with a tour of the home, inside and out. There was one of licensee's children in the home and no other adults at the time of the inspection. Licensee denies having guns/ammunition. Planned operating hours are M-F 6 am- 6 pm. Licensee states she plans to start operating next week.
Applicant requested a change of location for a small family childcare license. This one-story home has four (4) bedrooms, two (2) bathrooms, living room, family room, kitchen, dining area, garage and outdoor yard. LPA notes that the day care services will occur in the family room which is fully gated. Children will have access to one restroom and the enclosed backyard. .
LPA observed the FCCH is fully equipped to meet the needs of children in care. LPA observed sufficient age appropriate toys and learning materials inside and outside of the home. In addition, there is plenty of ventilation for the children in care. LPA did not observe any toxins nor hazards items accessible to children in care.
Applicant was reminded that all adults 18 and over living in the home, persons who provide care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5-days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30-days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02- CCP. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department.
