32 | LPA observed preschool classrooms to contain a variety of activities to allow children present to fully participate in, comfortable temperature, ample ventilation, and sufficient number of cots for the requested number of children. LPA observed individual storage space for children’s clothing, personal belongings and/or bedding. LPA observed waste receptacles to have tightfitting covers, in good repair, leakproof and rodent-proof. At the time of the inspection, surface of floors in rooms have a surface that is safe and clean. LPA reminded director facility shall remain clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of children, employees, and visitors. LPA observed disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons and other items that could pose a danger if readily available to children stored in a locked cleaning room. LPA observed first aid kits, and fire extinguisher last serviced on 06/03/2024. Carbon monoxide tested and functioning at the time of the inspection. Per director, no firearms or ammunition are present on property.
At the time of the inspection, LPA observed the preschool yard to be enclosed by a fence to protect children, to keep them in the outdoor activity area, and exceeds regulation height. LPA observed a variety of equipment and activities for children’s use, ample shade, and access to water. Under equipment, and slides, LPA observed soft padding to absorb falls. Sandbox was free of debris. No bodies of water are present on the property.
Ventura County Fire Department cleared facility on 05/28/2025.
Drinking water from a noncontaminating fixture or container shall be readily available both indoors and in the outdoor activity area. LPA advised per Health and Safety Code 1597.16(a)(1) Lead Testing and PIN-21-21-CCP Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010 to test their drinking water for lead contamination between January 1, 2020 and January 1, 2023, and then every 5 years after the date of the first test.
