13 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Lauren Scott and Janie Davis met with Director, Shirley Huddleson to deliver the findings of the complaint investigation regarding the above allegation.
During the course of the investigation, LPA Scott conducted interviews with the Director, Teachers, Children, and Parents. In addition, LPA obtained information pertaining to the allegation and observed the care and supervision of the daycare children. It was alleged that “Staff handled day care child in a rough manner causing injury.” Interviews conducted revealed that staff may have placed their hands to children’s faces, but there was not enough evidence to determine it was in a rough manner.
Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the finding is UNSUBSTANTIATED.
An exit interview conducted, and report was reviewed with the Director, Shirley Huddleson. Appeal Rights were provided. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.00. |
