Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Chayntel Hunter and Mariya Melinchuk conducted a site inspection for the purpose of a Room Change inspection. LPAs met with Site Coordinator Connie Luna Garcia and Director of Early Childhood Education, Shannon McClarin. The program is moving from room 13 to Room 5.

All staff present during today's inspection have a fingerprint clearance. Facility Representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

The facility is requesting the capacity of 16 children. LPAs observed that the facility has the following documents posted on the parent’s board: Parents Rights, Personal Rights, Car Seat Law, Emergency Disaster Plan, and Earthquake Checklist. LPAs observed smoke and Carbon monoxide detectors and a fire extinguisher that all meet title 22 regulations. The facility plans to operate Monday thru Friday 7:30 AM to 4 PM.

INDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE:
The indoor space is one classroom. LPAs observed the facility has a total of two toilets and three sinks. This is sufficient to meet the needs of the requested 16 children. The classroom is equipped with child size furnishings. There is a napping area that was not counted in square footage. There were 3 cribs/playpens for napping. The classrooms contain a total measurement of 840.58056 square feet which is enough to accommodate the licensed capacity request of 16 Infants. Individual measurements are recorded on the Capacity Worksheet (LIC 9024).

Report Continues on 809-C.
