25 | On July 29, 2021, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Chayntel Hunter met with Licensee, Rouguiato Cato for the purpose of an unannounced annual inspection. All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance. Licensee's grandson was present at the time of inspection. Licensee's operating hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM. to 5:30 PM.
A health and safety inspection was conducted in all areas accessible to children. Off-limits areas include all the bedrooms of the home, and the master bathroom. Off limit areas are being made inaccessible by closed locked doors. LPA observed the required postings and a working phone. 2A10BC fire extinguisher meets regulations. LPA observed smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and verified they were both functional. LPA toured the kitchen area and verified knives and cleaners were inaccessible to children in care.
Licensee stated there are no weapons in the home. Front and Back outdoor play space is fenced. LPA observed a hot tub in the backyard that has a cover that latches on all four corners and meets Title 22 regulations. LPA observed living room area with age appropriate toys for children. The fireplace in the living room is appropriately barricaded to prevent access by children. LPA observed a restroom and verified that hazardous and toxic items were inaccessible to children in care. In addition, LPA discussed the infant sleep regulations with licensee. LPA discussed the requirement to check and log infant napping every 15 minutes for infants 24 months and under. LPA discussed the LIC 9227 Individual Sleeping Plan, for infants under 12 months, with licensee during today's inspection.
LPA verified the annual fees are current.
