25 | On 7/24/23, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Carla Polanco conducted a change of location inspection with applicant, Kerstyn Vantine. Fire safety Inspection Clearance was granted on 7/17/23 for a total capacity of (14) children. Facility hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance. There were no day-care children present during the inspection. A health and safety inspection was conducted inside and out the home. The home has a master bedroom and bathroom, bedroom #2, bedroom #3, entry way family room, one bathroom, a kitchen, a living room, laundry room, garage, fenced side patio, and fenced backyard. The off-limit areas in the home are the master bedroom & bathroom, laundry room, garage, fenced side patio and bedroom #3. LPA advised the applicant that if there are ever any poisons at the home, all poisons must be locked with a key lock or combination lock. LPA observed the fireplace to be barricaded in the living room. LPA observed the home to provide safe toys, play equipment and materials for the day care children.
Toxic and hazardous items are inaccessible to children. LPA observed smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. LPA observed a fire extinguisher in the home that meets Title 22. A working telephone was observed. Applicant stated there are no weapons in the home. Licensee (rents/owns) the home. Licensee provided (the LIC 9151 (Property owner/Landlord Notification). Current EMSA approved pediatric CPR and First Aid training was verified and expires 3/25/25. Applicant's CA AB1207 Mandated Reporter Training expires 3/28/25. Applicant is signed up for the 8 hour Preventative Health and Safety Training with the Lead Poisoning Prevention training.
