Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lauren Scott met with Director, Sandra Torres Hernandez, to deliver the findings of the complaint investigation regarding the above allegations.
During the course of the investigation, LPA Scott conducted interviews and obtained information pertaining to the allegations. It was alleged that children sustained injuries due to lack of supervision. It was also alleged staff did not ensure clothing and shoes were kept dry, as well as children were left in a soiled diaper.
Due to conflicting information obtained throughout the course of this investigation, the above allegations could not be substantiated or dismissed. Regarding injuries, facility provided reports to LPA that are shared with parents. Protocols for changing of soiled clothing and diapers were also shared with LPA. Although the allegations may have happened and/or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the finding is UNSUBSTANTIATED.
Exit interview was conducted. A notice of site visit was provided and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
