A prelicensing inspection was conducted today at 9:25am by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Laura Chaez. LPA met with applicant Jeimy Garcia Hernandez. The applicant is requesting a license for a capacity of 8. The facility will operate Monday-Friday, 5:00am to 5:00pm. The residence is a 3 bedroom/2 bath single story home. There are 2 adults and 4 minors currently living in the home.

The home and yard were toured, and the facility sketch was verified. The following areas will be off limits to children: garage, 3 bedrooms including the master bathroom. These areas have been made inaccessible by means of locks. Poisons are locked in the garage. The home is equipped with a working smoke detector and fire extinguisher rated at least 2A10BC. LPA observed the fireplace located in the living-room is screened, however, the screen currently in place could get hot to the touch. The applicant stated the fireplace has never been used and will not be used. LPA informed the applicant should the fireplace be used while children are in care it shall be securely screened to prevent children from touching the fireplace screen currently in place. The children will use the backyard as the outdoor play area. Applicant stated the trampoline located in the backyard will not be used by children in care. Applicant understands if children in care use the trampoline it shall be maintained in good repair as observed during today's inspection.

On this date, 1/9/2025, the California Attorney General - Megan’s Law website was searched for information on sex offenders required to register with local law enforcement under California's Megan's Law. No registered sex offenders were found at the facility addresses. Under state law, some registered sex offenders are not subject to public disclosure; therefore, they may not have been included in this search. However, the Department conducts a monthly cross reference of each address on record for all registered sex offenders against all CCLD facility addresses pursuant to information shared by California DOJ.

The applicant was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org site, a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.

Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the applicant Jeimy Garcia Hernandez.

Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD) regularly sends information to licensed facilities, providers, and stakeholders by way of Provider Information Notices (PIN), Program Quarterly Update Newsletters and other important information communication platforms.
